186 training thread there's a demon inside just like jekyll and hyde It turned out that putting a pair of ghost pokemon on a route full of pokemon with the upper hand was a bad idea. So, Killian began to move on to more beneficial strategies for his team. That, and he realized he needed to fill up his empty team slots a little faster. So, he set out to go hopefully find and capture latios or latias.
Either of the pair would be a great addition to his team, and possibly could even keep him in check from his more... unsightly tendencies. Eventually perhaps Killian could go so far as to purge this evil from him, but that wouldn't be for a long time. Instead for now Killian and his partner Shadow would assume their usual formation, of the trainer staring blankly forward deep in thought while Shadow scans the area again and again looking for something to fight or something to catch, possibly both.
This practice would continue until something of interest appeared or occurred, since Killian would wait patiently in the realm of his thinking and planning for Shadow to speak up to what's happening.

781 training thread there's a demon inside just like jekyll and hyde As the two had assumed their usual position and began to wander quite deep into the path, finally Shadow alerted Killian to something that seemed to be stalking them. A figure that was floating along and hiding from Shadow behind whatever they could. As soon as Killian turned to see, he was quick to recognize the figure of a latios floating along. His thoughts stopped cold and he broke into a sprint after the creature, immediately throwing a pokeball in the direction of the pokemon.
Of course in response to his haste latios went off, attempting to escape from this encounter. Killian though noticed that the pokemon was leisurely in it's escape, as if he wanted Killian to be able to chase after it. "Shadow, go." Killian hounded, running full speed in his chase toward the escaping legendary. As long as he kept up that pace the latios would never get away, why wasn't it going up or going fast in the slightest?
It didn't matter, what mattered was that Killian needed that pokemon. Between his lack of teammates and the darker half that needed taming, the trainer knew he would be able to get better in several aspects if he acquired that latios. "Latios! Don't run from me!" he called, thinking as to why this pokemon would only show token resistance for a moment. Finally Killian got the idea to just throw the pokeball anyway, even if the pokemon wasn't weakened in the slightest and still running, maybe latios would allow it.
As the ball spun and flew through the air, Killian kept running anyway, wanting to take the opportunity to catch up to latios. Of course the legendary easily escaped the pokeball, and Killian was prepared for it, jumping the moment that he escaped the pokeball onto the pokemon's back. "You're not escaping me latios." Shadow recognized the change in Killian's voice, but he was amazed there hadn't been so much as a moment's pause before he switched over like that. Suddenly the gastly's trainer was affected a much deeper and more sinister tone, accompanied by a shift in his eyes.
They were now a deep darkness. Even the blue rose adorning his back pocket securely turned a darker tone around the edges, keeping it's deep blue only in the very centers of it's petals. This dark aura began to pool in Killian's hands, sinking into his grip on the latios. That poor pokemon recognized this dark energy and began doing rolls and spins to knock off the trainer, not able to remove his supernaturally enhanced grip.
Finally the trainer leaned into the short fur of latios, and bit with all his might into the back of his neck. Shadow by now had backed away from this entire endeavor, pretending he couldn't keep up and staying far enough behind to let latios deal with this endeavor. He wasn't a match for and didn't want to be around Killian in that aggravated state. In a moment's lull while latios cried out in pain, Killian slammed another pokeball into his head, employing the same force from his grip into his hit. "Bitch. Stay in the ball." he ordered, an utter venom to his words as the pokemon disappeared temporarily into the pokeball.
Again latios broke free, but was quick to attack back at the trainer. A psychic force kept Killian down on the ground, who let loose a deep and inhuman yell, until latios used luster purge on the human, attempting to at least knock him unconscious. Instead when the dust cleared though Killian was back to himself, laying on the ground exhausted as latios looked over him. "Hmm?" he asked, sore as per usual after a quick turn around. He looked up to the pokemon he'd tried to capture, an apology deep set in his eyes.
"Latios, I'm so sorry about that, I..." the pokemon nuzzled against the pocket where he'd pulled the first two pokeballs from. "After all that, you still want to come with me?" he asked, confused beyond belief. The pokemon nodded, showing off the ball of light that turns into a luster purge attack if the pokemon wanted to attack. "To keep that thing in line, yes. Please do, come along with me." he produced a pokeball from his pocket, holding it out to the latios. "I'm still sorry for what I did." he apologized again, before the latios dissappeared into his new pokeball, and Killian stood up, meeting face to face with his partner.
"Sorry about that, Shadow." he gave, with a slight nod in respect and acknowledgement shared between them. With that, the two would move on, catching breath and heading back to training.
