Personality:
Mark here is your typical 'hero for hire' type of guy. He's ready to drop anything and help anyone anywhere at any time. He's got a heart full of gold and just wants to help everyone and everything. When he hears tell of anything sinister going on he's quick to want to get to the source of it and handle it, even if he might get in trouble in the process. He's got no super powers or magic at the moment, but he's fully equipped with a huge heart and a decent mind to match. He only trains his pokemon to fight for the more stable income of it, he really prefers to show them off in contests and let everyone see how well him and his pokemon work together! Mark has nearly always been a fairly kind soul. He's rather easily entertained and quick to befriend everyone he sees.

History/Back Story
As Markiplier grew up his family wasn't doing very well. His brother and his parents all lived together in a house that wasn't meant to hold four people in it, and they still could barely afford it. Still both his parents worked hard to keep everything together and put their kids through school to the best of their ability. Mark was close with all of his family, from playing and roughhousing with his brother to helping his parents with the household chores he was happy and content. Until his dad wasn't able to come home one day, due to a more gruesome attack from a pokemon thief gone horribly wrong.
At his middle school age of course no one in his life would give him the more gruesome details, and eventually he gave up asking entirely. The event was wore that tore the family into three parts no matter how hard Mark tried to keep them together. His mother began to shut herself in her room on a regular basis, and his brother made the continuous excuse that he had work to do. This made Mark's social personality and tendencies a bit hard to satiate but he found some amount of it in simply talking to himself as though he were his own personal narrator.
At first it was odd but quickly the people in his life grew used to it, and as he grew further Mark became more and more of an outgoing and boisterous person. He and his brother were both eventually able to make enough income to aid the household, but Mark had always held his dream of being a contest coordinator. Watching those competitions on tv was a big part of his childhood, whether it was at a friends house or anywhere else he could.
A month before he left out on this journey, his mother and brother met him at the door in the morning, his brother with his hands behind his back. They knew he'd be leaving and got him an early going away present. An adorable little growlithe! Quickly Mark knew to name his new girl Chica, and thanked his family for his favorite pokemon ever, promising to send home any extra income he could possibly make. Now it's time he left out the door to the rest of the world.
